I hate touched up 'screenshots'.

It just yells to me, 'were too afraid to show off our real game!'

They want their work to look pretty, nothing wrong with that.

They are still in engine though... probably just rendered at an insane resolution and using models with an insanely high polygon count on the enemies and Prophet

Rather impressive. As one of the few fans of both Crysis and Crysis 2, I'm very much looking forward to this. Aside from the series' signature graphical quality, the bow certainly seems to be one of the better additions to 3. I'm sure my poor 6850 will not suffice for such an engine, so I'll most likely be dumping my next couple paychecks into my PC in preparation.

Bring on 2013!

" They want their work to look pretty, nothing wrong with that."

I have a problem with it if youre touting it as in-game without saying its been touched up. Its disingenuous and represents whats the devs want to game to be like, not what it actually is. If youre using settings a hyper beefy pc can achieve, im all for it.

If youre using player models with a poly count much higher that whatll be used in-game, thats lame. If its showcasing an engine, go crazy, but not for a retail game. Again im all for using crazy settings, as long as it can be achieved by some end-users. Crysis 1 had console commands which allowed you to set the internal resolution to literally anything you wanted and itd then display it at whatever resolution you were playing at (so, you could specify for the internal resolution (1920x1200) x 8, and itd output it at 1920x1200), so the result was hyper-mega aa. Itd render stuff so cleanly it was retarded (with performance to match).
