If you're still new to the game, it's of course a successor to Risen and also a spiritual successor to the Gothic games, all of which are in the same European-style of CRPG, but unique unto themselves, too.
In our review, we noted the greatest strength of Risen 2 is "just how endlessly engaging and fun it is to wander the countryside doing nothing in particular and happening upon treasure or foes or a new quest to embark on."
