'Avengers: Battle for Earth' domain registered, Ubisoft involved

Those craving for more Avengers action beside its theatrical release are in luck; a domain for a possible video game adaption has been registered, which involves French publisher Ubisoft.

A domain for Avengers: Battle for Earth has been registered by Marvel, which was made via brand protection firm MarkMonitor. Ubisoft's involvment in the possible game is outed by the fact that the domain is parked on one of the publisher's servers.

Marvel had recently stated that they had plans for video games based on the Avengers IP other than its social titles. Before that, THQ's Australian studio were developing a first-person shooter/brawler based on the film, but the publisher canceled the title following the studio's closure.
