Mass Effect 3 'Operation: Exorcist' rewards fixed, going out again
Be sure to download your rewards
Seems every time BioWare hosts a Mass Effect 3 multiplayer event, the following week is beleaguered by technical problems with the reward packs. Not surprisingly, the developer hit a few snags while attempting to release Commendation Packs from last week's Operation: Exorcist event. Those issues, however, should be resolved now.
While Victory Packs for the allied goal -- kill 1 million Phantoms -- were successfully distributed, many had trouble redeeming personal Commendation Packs. Some received multiple rewards but could only redeem one, which led to the game client freaking out completely and assume an Online Pass was missing.
In response to this, BioWare went with the easiest and least troublesome solution: delete all Commendation Packs. The Online Pass bug was resolved, but the developer wanted to triple check everything before re-releasing the packs today. Mass Effect 3 live producer Scylla Costa posted on the BioWare forums:
"Now we need to grant the Commendation Packs again for all people that haven't redeem it yet. We will continue to work hard until the packs are correctly granted today. We will announce here and on our social media channels when we finished granting them.
"We apologize for all the trouble created with this issue. We are reviewing all internal procedures related with the grant of Commendation Packs to avoid similar issues in the future."
As of a few minutes ago, all Commendation Packs have been granted, meaning everyone should find it in their multiplayer store.
Costa also provided a customer support link in case anyone is still having problems.
