Tipsters over at Kotaku forwarded them a series of screenshots that could very well confirm a sequel for Rayman Origins. The series of images is taken from a marketing survey gaging gamers' interest, a common practice to determine demographics for targeted advertising.
The shots tease a Greek fantasy setting with dragons and what appears to be an Olympic-style race. A block of marketing text reads:
"The sequel to Rayman origins will feature brand new settings: legendary worlds filled with castles, vampires, Ghosts, Greek Gods, or dragons..."
Despite the lack of proper grammar (these marketing surveys are generally very poorly done), the in-game pictures seem to be on-par with Rayman Origins quality. I haven't played enough of the original to tell if this is a cleverly done Photoshop, or perhaps just screenshots from a handheld Rayman title, however. Perhaps this is all just one big misunderstanding.
If there's one thing for certain, it's that Rayman Origins will get a sequel eventually. Ubisoft loves quickly making sequels for its popular properties, something Rayman has experienced before with Raving Rabbids. We'll update you further when Ubisoft comments on the leaked images.
