Just Add Water is a development studio that's been in charge of updating and porting the existing Oddworld franchise to modern platforms in HD. To be fair, they've become pretty efficient at it, but now it appears like they're comfortable enough to add a new title to the already outstanding series on their own. It's the return of Oddworld: Hand of Odd, previously permanently shelved in 2004, and now arisen from the grave.
What does Just Add Water have to show us, then? Well, we have the bomb and beeswax logo as seen above, and a then the following Twitter message:
"To clarify the #HandofOdd talk, we won't be talking about this project yet, however I CAN say, it will NOT be like 'FarmVille' as some say."
There you go! That's all we know about Oddworld: Hand of Odd. Well, there's also the rumor from 8 years ago that the title was a combination action-adventure/real time strategy with identical gameplay to Double Fine's Brutal Legend. I'm not sure how I feel about that.
In one of the company's other sporadic Twitter replies, we found that more information is planned to be revealed later this month. Until then, Oddworld fans, rejoice and speculate to your heart's content.
