Think you're a real Resident Evil fan? Well, would you pay $1,300 for Resident Evil 6? Capcom is pretty sure some people will, hence they're releasing a Resident Evil 6 Premium Edition in Japan.
For ¥105,000 or roughly $1,300 in USD, this super special Premium Edition includes four exclusive tablet case covers -- featuring Chris Redfield, Leon Kennedy, Jake Muller (Wesker's kid), and a secret character -- a copy of the game either for 360 or PS3, and Leon's leather jacket. Not that any of this justifies the jaw-dropping price, because even designer leather jackets shouldn't excede a few hundred bucks, which is not to say you can't snag one for less than that. By comparison, a standard copy of Resident Evil 6 in Japan is priced at ¥7,980 or $99.
Hey, if you really want this thing, we're not going to judge. Check out the Japanese ad for details. The Premium Edition may be regional, but we assume someone who has that much money to spend on a single game shouldn't have any issues paying an import fee or making an impromptu trip to Japan come October.
Resident Evil 6 will be released in North America on October 2 and in Japan on October 4.
