Ghost Recon: Future Soldier multiplayer beta dated and detailed for consoles
Still have your copy of Splinter Cell Conviction?
For those of you still waiting on the Ghost Recon: Future Soldier beta, Ubisoft brings excellent news. Yes, the multiplayer beta is happening, and it's set to run from April 19 until May 2.
The two-week beta period will cover three classes and two game modes. Right, you want to know how to gain access -- that's an important little detail, after all. Hopeful participants can enter the beta one of several ways, depending on the console.
Xbox 360 owners can join the beta either through Splinter Cell Conviction (follows the instructions on the card) or pre-ordering Future Soldier at GameStop. PS3 owners must subscribe to PlayStation Plus to receive their key.
Playable classes include Rifleman, Engineer, and Scout, while accessible game modes encompass "Conflict" and "Saboteur" on the Pipeline (below) and Mill (above) maps. Objective-based Conflict will be available at the start of the beta, and Saboteur will unlock on April 26.
Conflict
• Description: players battle to complete objectives located throughout the map and earn points, the team with the most points at the end of the round wins
• Game session: 1 round of 15 minutes
Saboteur
• Description: a bomb spawns in a central location, both teams compete to retrieve the bomb and be the first to detonate it at the opposing team’s base
• Game session: 1 round of 10 minutes
