Hmmmm if it is reference to the UNSC Infinity ship and is multiplayer, it could very well be Microsoft's version of Battlefield 2142's Titan mode.

The Titan in 2142 is a massive ship. Both teams have a titan, so the goal is to destroy the other team's Titan before they destroy yours

But it is speculation, only reason I bring it up is because it reminds me of the Titan mode if it is a reference to the UNSC ship and is linked to multiplayer mode

You can't be sure it was Microsoft registering any of these, but one the other domains registered recently through the same company was MoreThanJustAMap.com. So it could indeed be referring to the map Infinity from Halo: CE. There was also SpartanOps.net.

Could be some sort of DLC pack for Reach/Anniversary, if not something for Halo 4. Maybe something is special about this version of Infinity, like it being part of a second Forge World, similar to how Blood Gulch is part of the original one.

I'm over-speculating, I know .

Actually Fury, checking the WhoIs on the two domains in the article brings up MarkMonitor, a company used for "brand protection"

I think that can safely confirm it is Microsoft or 343 as I can't see anyone else outside of Microsoft or 343 hiring a company for something like this. Especially when MarkMonitor has clients such as WWE and Kingston Technologies within their portfolio

Yeah, I saw that. The Gamespot article linked here links to the source that actually found it, which is where I found those other domains. They said MarkMonitor was the one associated with all of them, and Microsoft is known to use them. Still, you can't be 100% sure that they were all Microsoft, that's all I'm saying.

Aye I suppose but would be weird if they are all MarkMonitor but only a few of them are Microsoft...my bet is the same with every company, they are squatting on the domains now just so people don't steal them later

Ever since Beth Soft missed the ball with the Fallout3 domain, most companies have resorted to grabbing as many domains as they can within a few months of announcing certain games, so there is still a possibility that nothing will come from this at all
