Halo 4 details are precious, as fans of the franchise ponder the game's development shifting from Bungie to 343 Industries. The return of Master Chief is of course the focus of most gamers' curiosity, but 343 is unlikely to divulge much there. Multiplayer, however, is a more open topic of discussion. And so the multiplayer map "Warhouse" was introduced on the Halo Waypoint today.
Designed for the game type Slayer, Warhouse has a focus on close quarters combat. Utilizing the many corridors and over/under pathways throughout the map will be the key to success. Though if you're not a fan of close quarters gameplay, 343 says Warhouse might have something appropriate for you as well.
Regarding its lore, Warhouse is a space-platform designed for gas mining. This allows the developers to play with gravity and orientation, without creating a setting that's beyond belief. The structure is said to be entirely, "man-made," taking inspiration from oil refineries and aircraft carriers, but also cartoon and film style giant mechs. Whether Warhouse is truly "man" made, or perhaps "Forerunner" technology is a question worth pondering.
