I believe the console does the heavy work and the images are projected into the controller. So I guess I'll last a while.

> While the Wii U tablet doesn't serve any major gameplay purposes, it does attempt to streamline in-game features by separating them across two screens

The cynic in me says this will sum up pretty much every wii U game, while the optimist in me is still running late.

It's still a screen with a processor in it.. It still has to do a fair bit of work. It's like saying a Console does the heavy work and the TV just displays images. The TV probably has more processors and encoders in it than the console. Just being a screen doesn't mean it won't eat batteries for the lolz.

PS. Just for comparison sake the PS3 and 360 controllers last on average about 26 hours. That is without a screen and processors to run and encode images for said screen. The Wii U pad will last about 12-15 hours if that which is good for about 2-3 gaming sessions.. It's gonna suck though if you forget to charge it one night as it more than likely won't be the quick 30-40 minute charge of the PS3/360.. It'll be more comparable to the 3-4 hours of an iPad or iPhone.
