Shadows of the Damned sequel is "probably" going to happen
We might be looking at going to Hell on a motorcycle again
Grasshopper, the developers behind Shadows of the Damned, spoke recently about the possibility of a future for the demon-hunting Garcia Hotspur, and they had a bit of good news for fans: EA will “probably” be interested in publishing a sequel.
For those unfamiliar with Shadows of the Damned, it's pretty much third-person shooter meets road movie and somehow catches some Dante's Inferno along the way. Players are put in control of Garcia Hotspur who is literally going through Hell to rescue his blonde bombshell girlfriend, Paula. He's joined by his ex-demon sidekick, Johnson, who has the ability to transform into various objects, including weapons.
Shadows of the Damned didn't do too well at launch. The game saw low sales in the US and UK, and even less in Japan. As a result, the studio moved on to smaller titles, and we really haven't heard that much about the Hotspur since.
Regardless of the lackluster sales, Akira Yamaoka, who composed Shadows' soundtrack, stated a second game was still likely. When asked about it, Yamaoka offered his two cents in just a few words: "I'm thinking of a sequel, actually. I can't tell you here, but clearly I'd like to."
Further affirmations came when Yamaoka was also asked if EA would back a sequel, to which he replied “probably” before conceding, “Well, yes.”
Does this all mean there will be a sequel? Possibly, yet without word from EA, we don't want to get excited just yet.

No Marketing is what held it back, word of mouth can only go so far.
Its like EA naturally assumed ALL RE, SH and NMH's fans would buy this just because of who was involved...
