It sounds like Smithing is still just as easy to level, but now the smithing level of a user affects the quality of the item (at least monetarily). I wonder if it would mean that the stats are also affected (In other words, 100 smithing skill could create some items with Legendary status outright?

Also, why don't they do this with Enchanting? It has a bug that is similar to the smithing value thing, where items actually drop in value the better you get at smithing the same item.

Speaking from a pure mage's perspective, the new kill moves are definitely necessary. It was highly unfair that there were only physical kill moves; it dulled gameplay for magic users. I was highly envious of the killing moves, so much so that even though I had little skill in the one-handed stat, I'd still try fighting with a blade just to get a cool kill animation. Now I can feel like the bad-ass mage I was MEANT to be.

Whyre cinematic kills for projectile weapons a 'crazy feature'? Theyve been doing that since fallout3. And it was always janky looking, like skyrim melee ones.

Not sure what you're trying to say?
It was the case that shoving out as much crap-tier gear as you could was the best way to level smithing. The scaling is a direct "fix" to that. Now it will be viable to actually craft decent things for smithing exp. Not necessarily a bad thing in any case.

Re-reading the patch note, I see. So they ARE changing it so you can't just create a bunch of daggers to level smithing quickly. They really should have phrased it differently. "Value of smithed item now a factor in increasing the smithing skill."

I had not realized that there were no kill animations for Mages. I'm playing a fighter right now. It is good those are in there for Mages.
