To be honest, I've never played but I might try it if it's on 3DS
It's on the DS not the 3DS.... although it will still work for the 3DS.

Than, as I said elsewhere, they should bundle Black and White 1 and 2's story and content, and ship it with a new extended story in a 3DS Exclusive Grey Version. As in, starting the game it'll begin with Black and White's story, after game is done, it'll continue to Black/White 2's story, and finally a 3rd 3DS Exclusive adventure, maybe one that takes ultimate advantage of the 3DS's features. Full 3D Pokemon, customizable characters, freeroaming environments with a 3rd person behind the shoulder view, more gym leaders and maybe more regions to explore(not old ones, a new one or two), this would be the GREATEST Pokemon game ever.

But Nintendo doesn't think that way, so something like this won't come to fruition.

It should remain availible for DS, cuz some people can't afford to or would rather not wanna spend money on another system the have to buy the new game too. Thats messed up.

No one should complain- in a franchise that is consistently blasted on lack of innovation, and whittling new releases down to just a graphical update and plot rehash except for a few tweaks and, -wait for it- they are trying something a little bit different. Stop fussing- whether it's on DS or 3DS doesn't influence whether or not we'll buy and play this game to death just like all the others.

OMG that was the best video trailer ever!! :]
makes sense why people may complain about it not being on the 3ds (salt in the wound thing) but I personally don't mind either way :]
I mean atleast this way nintendo can rub more money out of everyone. (yays)

I would have bought a 3ds just for that game...
Absolutely! The question is, hypothetically, should you have to?

Nintendo's trying to key in on a specific market (ironically being "the every man" market), and using the DS as the main platform is the best decision for that. Not surprising, fully expected it, definitely the right decision for the series. I like Dragoshi1's idea to speed up player adoption of the 3DS. The "premium/final/cap" version of B/W being full-3DS game is plausible, and it's something that was done back during the transition to the DS by Megaman Battlenetwork (#5).

I guess what some people forget is that Nintendo really likes to ease in new handhelds. Took three iterations of the DS and about seven years after the GBA's release for it's game cartridges to stop being supported.

I understand and respect Nintendo's decision to keep B/W2 on the DS, if they moved it onto the 3DS they would be cutting short alot of the user fanbase. As a 3DS owner from launch however I cannot help but feel Nintendo are screwing us over a little, even if I did expect it because of the point mentioned in Lorx 's post. I think the best thing that Nintendo could do at this point is add some extra content for those that play it on the 3DS Platform, whether it be ingame or otherwise.

That kind of thing will happen more and more with time. It'll happen faster with titles that aren't focused on such a broad market.

Definitely regretting my decision to upgrade to the 3DS. I mean, with such a bad starting line-up, and now one of their most profitable franchises are staying last gen, I will not buy another Nintendo console or handheld at launch. Complete lack of knowledge when it comes to online, shovel ware out the wazoo, the Wii-U still having no specs and its being released THIS YEAR - this company is washed up. And its a shame too because I'm a Nintendo fanboi... all my favorite franchises are with Nintendo: Mario, Pokemon, Zelda...God I wish they would switch to software only. I'm ready for Pokemon on my iPhone and Zelda in HD.

I really don't see what all or you are complaining about. As long as these games come out, we'll keep buying them. Also, it doesn't really matter which they release the game for, DS or 3DS, since inevitably they will release Pokemon games specifically for the 3DS. I am a Nintendo fan to the end, and stand by this decision made by one of the greatest game companies the world has ever known. So, to all those of you who can't find anything to do but complain about things you can't control... get over it! Go play Black and White some more! Keep the gaming legend that is Pokemon alive well into the future! GO NINTENDO!!
