When we checked in on The Witcher 2 last summer, the CRPG had reached over 900,000 (!!!) in sales. Sales have since slowed considerably, but fans should be interested to know between then and December 31, 2011, the game broke the 1 million threshold, peaking at 1.1 million. About one quarter of those sales were digital.
Between the upcoming "Enhanced Edition" content and the 360 version, we wouldn't be surprised to see the 1.1 million figure at least double in 2012.
Again, the figure impressive because it's only CD Projekt's second game, the first being The Witcher, which shifted 1.7 million units over four years. Notably, 400,000 more units of it were sold during 2011.
