Wake represents light, his double is darkness taken shape
The end of February is going to keep gamers busy, especially for any 360 owners looking at the House Party titles. Alan Wake's American Nightmare will be out next Wednesday on Xbox LIVE Arcade, and the guys at Remedy have one last developer video for Wake fans -- or anyone curious about the spin-off.
Safe to say they've made it quite clear that this isn't the same Alan Wake from 2010. Less psychological thriller and more serial killer B-movie, American Nightmare is a new chapter in the Wake franchise, letting Remedy try something totally different. Also, more on Mr. Scratch and creative director Sam Lake being pretend-murdered.

I do not like this. The linearization of light being good and darkness being bad is incorrect, as darkness does not simply correspond to evil :/
