Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Episode 2 screens reveal new zones, special stage

Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Episode 2 will see Sonic and Tails once again exploring new lands to stop Eggman's nefarious plans and defeat Metal Sonic. The first batch of screenshots show the heroic duo racing through a snowy carnival, watery ruins (which look a bit like Sonic 2's Aquatic Ruin Zone), and a desert oil field.
Co-op play is returning in Episode 2, allowing a friend to join the adventure over the internet or local multiplayer. Tails players can not only help Sonic reach out-of-the-way places, the two buddies team up to pull off new attacks such as a giant spin dash. Tails is also around to help gather rings in the Sonic 2-style special stages.
Sonic the Hegehog 4 Episode 2 releases later this year for Xbox LIVE Arcade, PlayStation Network, and mobile devices.

It's looking good, that's for sure. 4Ep1 annoyed me though, it was just quite stressful, especially the final boss. That really was a nightmare so I hope that Ep2 is more fair.
