Activision Blizzard has announced during their fourth quarter earnings report the unsurprising delay of Diablo III, which is now expected to launch some time in Q2 2012. So barring any other delays, you can expect to see Blizzard's much-anticipated dungeon crawler any time between April and June.
It was reported in September that Diablo III would be launching early 2012, and many fans were expecting to see the game by spring. The Internet has certainly suffered no shortage of rumored launch dates set by eager retailers.
Blizzard CEO and co-founder Mike Morhaime stated during the report, “We’ve implemented changes to the game that we believe will greatly increase the game experience.”
Not exactly a shocker, especially after the studio revealed all the major changes they were working on, including complete overhauls for more than one in-game system. Well, we've always known Blizzard operates on Blizzard time.
