Also no built-in voice chat, co-op limited to four
We never expected Diablo III to be graphically intensive, but not having higher res options is kind of surprising. Blizzard Community Manager "Bashiok" confirmed today that the upcoming dungeon crawler -- still without a more specific date than "2012" -- will not support higher resolution textures. Yep, no Ultra setting, though Bashiok mentioned that an Ultra setting wouldn't make much of a difference anyway.
Additionally, Diablo III will not have any built-in voice chat at launch, though the feature will likely be added some time after. According to Bashiok, Blizzard wants to "make sure [voice chat] is worth using" before they implement it for another game.
The four player cap is also set, despite there being five classes. Given that four players is the number for co-op games right now, this doesn't actually surprise us.
Beta players can also expect a new skill system with the next patch, not to mention class changes.
