Skyrim Creation Kit, Workshop, and high-res texture pack available now

Time to get fancy

You probably already know the Skyrim Creation Kit and Workshop were due to launch today, and indeed, both are available now via Steam, so you can get to modding or downloading mods via the new streamlined resource.

What you didn't know was Bethesda was planning all this time to launch a high resolution texture pack for that beefy rig of yours -- that's also ready for downloading, and clocks in at around 3GB.

All the new goodies can be had now via Steam. Everything else you might want to get started can be found via our wiki.

Am in the UK and I dont see Creation Kit in my list of tools available

On steam, i went to Skyrim, clicked on DLC. Saw the option for High res and my only option was to 'play now'. How can I know it's working? Looks the same

If you have the two 'highres' boxes checked in 'Data Files', it's working. The differences are somewhat subtle, but definitely there. I've uploaded some comparison screenshots here.
