Skullgirls trailer offers glimpse of Story Mode, character backstories
Painwheel makes her debut
The latest Skullgirls trailer gives a quick peek at Story Mode along with a few hints about how some characters fit into the game's overall plot. We also get a first look at Painwheel, one of the more menacing brawlers who seems to have a feud with Valentine:
In addition to Story Mode, Skullgirls has traditional modes you'd find in other fighting games like Arcade, Practice, and online multiplayer (ranked and unranked). Also included is a Tutorial mode that not only teaches basic and advanced concepts, it puts emphasis on defense so you can learn how to fight smart instead of trying to button mash.
Skullgirls releases in early 2012 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
