Insomniac Games not making any more Resistance titles
Focusing on new IP, social gaming
Insomniac Games CEO Ted Price dropped word at the Games::Business::Law conference today that the studio will no longer produce Resistance titles. Price confirmed the studio is moving on to other projects and putting some focus on social gaming.
One new project in the works by Insomniac is cooperative shooter Overstrike, the studio's first multiplatform title. Insomniac has been keeping quiet about Overstrike since its initial announcement though we're likely to hear more details at this year's E3 convention.
The Resistance series itself is not done yet as Resistance: Burning Skies will be launching later this year for Vita. It's possible Insomiac will let another developer take over Resistance from here on out.

Insomniac could easily drag the series out but they have an exciting new partnership with EA and I congratulate them for moving on. Lesser studios would drag a title such as Resistance on for far to long for the sake of money.. Insomniac don't want to do that and that is a great thing.
