Last week we reported a fan-made petition had been created with the intention of bringing hardcore RPG Dark Souls to PC. At the time of writing, it had hit 10,000 signatures; today, it's 63,300.
As it was stated, this has been enough to get publisher Namco Bandai's attention. The same staff member who originally encouraged the idea -- Tony Shoupinou -- says in the same forum thread the higher ups are definitely looking on, and fans should still keep signing.
"Damn you are amazing! I honestly wasn't expecting such a massive support. My boss(es) even came to talk to me about this, after it [exploded] all around the world. If you wanted to have the attention of Namco Bandai Games, now you have it. The future is in your hands, and I hope you will keep supporting this. I make a personal objective to make sure every relevant [person] in Namco Bandai Games is in touch with this formidable effort. Great Thanks."
Later in the thread, he clarifies this is by no means a guarantee the game will hit PC, but it is looking positive.
"I can't say it's going to happen (I wish I had this power), but I can assure management of the company will know about it, and I think that [is] already a good achievement and a good step forward."
Haven't signed yet? Right this way, sir.
