SSDs are worth it. I own a crucial SSD and its a winner. Silent, cool, and above all, fast & reliable.

Knowingness fail, weak experience. Probably a kid who got his first PC on last year's xmas.

ALL SSDs are silent and cool.
ALL SSDs are faster than Hard Drives.
ALL SSDs are far NOT as reliable(data) as Hard Drives.
True, Crucial SSDs are more reliable than OCZ's.

Second, you didn't even stated which sub-model you have so that's another sign of total unfamiliarity in this tech field.

You could have the older C300 which weren't as good. Not a lot of validity in the post, coincidentially yes Crucial is on the top with it's M4 line now, especially 128 GB model and up, firmware update also increased performance for about 100 MB/s for reading and somewhat less for writing.

^ Was talking about SSDs, not Crucial's specifically. And go *bleep* yourself. What is wrong with the C300?

SSDs clearly have more issues than traditional HDDs, so just dont put any critical data on a SSD if it isnt backed up anywhere else. Could you say SSDs are reliable? Not quite in the traditional sense, but still gotta support new promising tech.

I really don't know what you people are talking about... I've had a lot more problems with HDDs.
