Thinking of cheating your way through Modern Warfare 3? Well then, you'd better hope the powers that be don't take notice, or you might find yourself at the receiving end of a 5000-day ban. One PS3 owner did and submitted an image proving it.
Turns out, this isn't an error. No, those 5000 days (almost 14 years) are the MW3 equivalent of a permaban. At least, that's what Infinity Ward's Robert Bowling has said. When shown the above image, Bowling posted tweeted this response:
"MW3 Payer Banned for 5000 days?! Yes. If you see this message, it means you've been Permabanned (for something bad)"
Pretty hilarious for those of us who don't cheat, boost, or do anything else ban-worthy. So what did the above offender get banned for? Boosting, which he openly admitted to on Twitter to Bowling. You see, "HotShot_01" loves Modern Warfare 3 so much that he purchased six PS3 consoles to go with his six copies of the game, all in the name of boosting.
As if the ban itself weren't amusing enough, check out his tweets on the matter. Judging by his state of confusion, we're inclined to believe HotShot_01 is just a kid or teenager. On the other hand... six PS3s!
