[Update] 3DS GBA Ambassador games arrive December 16 worldwide

Update: 3DS Ambassadors around the world can now download their ten free GBA games from the eShop. To find and download the games, head into the eShop, scroll to Settings / Other, and tap the "Your Downloads" button.

Before you start playing, you'll want to read up on the instructions by highlighting your game in the 3DS main menu and tapping the Manual button. Closing the 3DS does not put your system in sleep mode but you can activate the old GBA-style sleep mode by pressing L, R, and Select at the same time.

Nintendo sent out word to 3DS Ambassadors in Japan and Europe their ten free Game Boy Advance games will be available for download from the eShop on December 16. No date has been confirmed yet for North American 3DS Ambassadors but the games should be available before the year is over.

The GBA games offered are exclusive to 3DS Ambassadors and will not be sold through the eShop. These GBA games lack a few features such as temporary save states, support for 3DS sleep mode, and instruction manuals. Most importantly, these games cannot be transferred to another 3DS system though you could try to unlink your Club Nintendo account from the eShop to move your games around.
