Terraria 1.1 released with new Hallow biome, performance improvements
New monsters, wiring mechanic, and plenty more added
Terraria 1.1 released today, adding plenty of new features and content for players to discover. Highlights of this update include 36 new monsters including a new master in the underworld, mysterious statues that can be found all over the place, and a new Hallow biome that's unlocked when you defeat the Hell boss.
Players can make use of a new wiring mechanic to trigger traps and other devices by setting down wires. Devices can be activated by levers, pressure plates, and buttons. Update 1.1 also features performance optimzations and new lighting options for those who want to make colorful environments such as the cavern seen above.
