Magic: The Gathering - Duels 2012 deck pack 1 released
Red/white deck and another mono black available for purchase
Update: the pack is now live on Steam.
Rather than wait for a full-on expansion, Wizards of the Coast and Stainless Games have gone ahead and released the first 'deck pack' for Magic: The Gathering - Duels of the Planeswalkers 2012. The PC version is currently ready for purchase via Steam for $2.99 (the last expansion was $4.99), though it's not actually live quite yet. The console versions will hit 'a little later'.
Within the pack: two new decks, one a fresh red/white soldier deck (March to War) , and another a mono black zombie wave deck (Ghoulkeeper). March to War features powerful cards like Mass Calcify, Victory's Herald, and Marshal's Anthem, while Ghoulkeeper packs a punch with classics like Phage the Untouchable and Soulless One, as well as Undead Warchief. Hit the source for the full deck lists, if you like.
Both are exciting to be sure, though Ghoulkeeper is somewhat redundant given two mono black decks are already available, doubly so because one of them is also a swarm deck of sorts.
If you're still hungry after going through these, Wizards plans to release two more deck packs on December 14 and January 11.
