So do we just beat the time and Sega will collect our info if we're connected on the internet or is there a website we have to submit them or something?

Got 1:04 as Modern on my first try

You have to record your TV screen. Click the source link for details.

Why? GHZ is the easiest level. Not hard at all.

Why? Because the time you posted is impossible. Doesn't require further explanation.

Not impossible, not even sure how I got it but I beat it incredibly quick as Modern Sonic. I'm sure there are even people that done it under a minute.

Checking online the best Classic Sonic run on GHZ is 30 seconds and modern is around the 1 minute mark.

That makes absolutely no sense at all unless there is some actual shortcut through the stage or glitches. Legitimately playing the stage, you can't even get to the waterfall in under 35 seconds.

And yeah, searching online yields 0 hits supporting your claim for those fastest times on modern green hill zone that you speak of. In fact, the fastest time I have seen at all is 1 minute, 39 seconds and it is essentially a perfect run from start to finish.

Not saying I don't believe you but I must point out the people cheat like hell on leaderboards. In a week or maybe even less the 1st place score will be to someone who has 00:00:00 as their best time.
The Sonic 4 Ep 1 leaderboards are a good example of sad *bleep*ers who cheat.

Anyway I should get round to practicing. It's annoying that you have to record your TV as I might do it sometime when I'm not recording...plus I don't have a proper video recorder.

There are plenty of ways to get around. Staying in a ball and "drifting" as modern sonic is like a damn turbo boost. One of the best players first time was under the 1:50 mark (but just barely) and that was during the demo (the current one). Says he (or she?) is gonna do a much better new one. Same person also got 37 seconds as Classic Sonic here : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mfj68jyDoF8 and he still didn't take full advantage of the SS routes found in GHZ.

Edit: there are more and so far it keeps flooding with new videos since this competition.

That absolutely does not explain how you supposedly got a minute as your first try and others are apparently just over a minute when, in fact, no such thing has happened. Again, best time has been 1:39 and it was essentially flawless.

In fact, all you are doing is confirming everything I have said.
