Functionality Update 2.0 is now live for Gran Turismo 5 players, adding various features requested by the community and some free NASCAR autos. Another round of DLC is coming October 18 that brings in new cars, paint jobs, and racetracks.
For those wondering about the new vehicles, the $7.99 Racing Car Pack includes custom touring editions of fan favorite autos like the Mazda RX-7, Subaru Impreza, Dodge Challenger SRT8, and Nissan GT-R. This pack also features the protoype Red Bull X2011 vehicle, a successor to the Red Bull X2010 that's made for speeding around tracks.
The $4.99 Course Pack adds two new tracks, one specially designed by Polyphony Digital. Belgium's seven-kilometer Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps is considered to be one of the toughest courses in the world due to having many twists, turns, and elevation changes. Polyphony's flashy track arena is situated indoors and made for kart racing.
If you're into customization, the $2.99 Racing Gear Pack and $1.99 Paint Pack are for you. The Gear Pack adds 90 pieces of equipment for your driver avatar while the Paint Pack lets you customize your cars with 100 new colors.
