I wonder why they think it isn't 'viable'. Sounds like "We can't be arsed" to me...

Unless they buggered up their ability to make a decent port of the game to PC because of something in the development process (coding or something), I don't see why they wouldn't be able to.

It's not like they are any good at porting anyway though. I still want it on PC regardless >_>

Controlling Marston or riding a horse doesn't sound very fun on the PC, with either the mouse or keyboard, to be honest.

It's always been that way with Rockstar's PC titles, at least for me; I've always used a gamepad for the Grand Theft Auto titles.

Mouse and Keyboard isn't the device of choice for all PC games dood.

For this game, as well as a lot of other PC games, Controller all the way.

Couldn't they just enable the xbox controller on pc like in gta 4? Although I guess they'd first better learn to port games to pc since gta 4 pc was just....not good

Problem with GTA IV is you needed an intel quad core, otherwise it ran like crap. If you had an intel quad core, it ran fine and only suffered from minor problems.

They dont want people who arent running intel quads to cry like last time (amd owners)

It wasn't so much the processor (though you needed a good one), as that you couldn't max it out without enough Video Memory. I think you needed around 1GB to 1.5GB to enable everything. I have about 1.3GB and I can enable all the options I think.

The game uses 1.5 of video ram with sliders maxed out, but you could easily set the game to use cpu ram as extra video ram if you knew what you were doing. I was able to run game at playable framerates with a very old 320 mb 8800 gtx.

The game was all about cpu power, not video card power as most people believe

If you didnt have good enough gpu, you could lower the games sliders, but if your cpu wasnt good enough, nothing you did would reduce the strain on it.

Fact of matter is AMD quad cores couldnt cut the mustard in GTA IV while intel quad cores never had any problems. Sorry, but thats the truth.

Truth seems to be a subjective statement then, running it fine on a Phenom right now. First generation model to dent your hopes and dreams even more. Having a 512MB 4850 video card with icenhancer is my biggest restriction right now.
