Yes. I know I can trust DICE from now on, they're on a great path. The way I see them now with this new Battlefield 3 is along with developers/companies like Valve. I know I can trust them with what they're doing, my money, and that they will deliver the experience I search for in gaming. I love every little detail about this game, or at least about the Beta.

I agree with you Gangsta692 this game is amazing. Now just think how much greater it will be once the full version will come out. Every time I think about it I tend to drool on the keyboard lol .

I must have played a different beta from you guys
I made the mistake of downloading the PS3 version and was treated to broken collision, menus, weapons among other things. This is just sad. Calling your broken game "beta" doesn't make it okay to release a shitty product into the wild.

Justin Bailey Dude the intention of a beta is to release a build that somewhat resembles a final release but hasn't been fully debugged so the community can identify issues with it. Theres an expectation that it WILL be buggy and it is completely fine to release a "shitty product into the wild" if its a free beta.
I suggest that if you want to moan about the condition of the beta you just wait for the final release and let the real testers do what they're supposed to do.

I should stop being surprised when people forget what the term Beta Testing means. Seems like every beta that gets released, there's a horde of people who expect to be playing a final release version.

Justin Bailey Dude the intention of a beta...
You notified a different person than the poster above you.
(You can notify people with spaces in their names by using the @ symbol on both sides of their name, however justin bailey has no account here so that's a tad irrelevant for this)

Haha yeah my bad, didn't even realise that Neo had implemented an actual tagging system, thanks for the heads up Lorx, I'll keep that in mind for future postings

The squads system is terrible and I hate Battlelog with the power of a thousand suns. Having to go ingame and onto a server just to change graphics settings is a bit retarded.

Yeah, definitely hate that. Praying it's changed for the final release.

I played the PS3 beta and lol, prone makes it so easy.

Aside from that, I don't really like dying without any chance whatsoever to react, further added onto that annoying fact is the lack of a killcam. During the beta, I've experienced repeated green flashes on the screen (obviously a glitch of some sort) and occasionally purple flashes. While not gamebreaking, they're probably not a good thing.

Radar is horrid though, blue arrows, blue background, *shudder*

Thank God this is really old stuff.

They have yet to actually release a justification for "releasing month+ old beta code"... I can think of no reason to release old BUGGY software to the public as an open beta (in most players' minds: "free play-test, will I like the game?!"). I call BS, they're probably busting ass to fix all this stuff right now.

Do away with the killcam and supernova-strength tactical lights completely. Fix the squad system.

Read more closely: "[DICE] notes the software is actually over one month old, due to testing requirements and others." In other words, they have to finalize a beta client and test it to ensure no critical errors and such, then put it out to the public once it's certified and networking is in place, etc. The newest build itself would take another month to test, certify, prepare, etc. This is nothing new to beta software.

There will be a hardcore mode, which presumably will have no killcam. Tactical lights I'm guessing they'll tone down based on beta feedback (everyone seems to hate them, myself included).

A killcam isn't exactly what I'd consider a 3rd person camera showing me where he is. What I want to know is how in bloody hell he saw/shot/etc me.
