Some participants in the Battlefield 3 beta have been particularly harsh on it, and under the impression developer DICE has one month to "fix the game."
To be clear, this is not the case. DICE general manager Karl Magnus Troedsson notes the software is actually over one month old, due to testing requirements and others. Because of the development time they've had said and the beta feedback, the final game will "look, play, and sound better" than what you've experienced thus far.
Concerning gameplay, there were a bit of an uproar recently from PC players who learned squad management was through Battlelog only. DICE has heard the feedback however, and is discussing it, so possibly a more traditional system will be available at launch or sometime after for those that prefer it.
In lighter news: the Battlefield 3 beta is seeing six times the number of simultaneous players as the Bad Company 2 beta.
