Update: 360 connection issues should now be resolved.
Update: 360 servers are working now for some.
Update: the beta is now live on PSN in North America; the 360 version is currently experiencing connection issues, but DICE is on it, so hang tight.
The early access beta for Battlefield 3 has been going on a couple days, but now everyone can get in on the action: it's gone public. Well, almost everyone: PlayStation 3 users in North America will have to wait until later today.
Before we get to the download instructions, remember first this is a beta, and we can tell you right off there are issues, many of which are likely to be fixed by launch. To help with the process, be sure to make reports through Battlelog.
Second, for the PC crowd, remember this is 32 player Rush and as those who've gotten a sneak peek at the Caspian Border map will tell you: it's not traditional Battlefield. If you're expecting that, wait for Caspian and the other Conquest 64 maps -- trust us on that. That said, it's a grand old time for what it is.
Also for PC players: join our platoon, and be sure to grab the newest NVIDIA or AMD drivers as appropriate, as they're optimized specifically for Battlefield 3.
See below for download instructions, and while you're waiting, give our preview a read.

Usually I'm getting riddled by sneaky snipers and assault rifle masters >_>
The distant glare off of sniper scopes is a nice touch though. Netted me a kill at least.
For a BETA some of the bugs are just horrendous, falling through the floor. I've actually been under the map killing people. These were bugs that were spotted 5 minutes in to the first game. How on earth have these not been rectified for this BETA?
