Update: the official download is ready here.
NVIDIA released its latest driver earlier today, bringing with it optimizations for Battlefield 3 and its beta (launching tomorrow). Following up quick, AMD has readied its 11.10 preview driver with its own bag of tricks.
Unfortunately there seems to have been a technical mishap with the official upload, but James Prior of ATI support and enthusiast site Rage3D has uploaded it himself in the meantime. If you prefer to wait, we'll be updating this article when the official download is ready (tonight or tomorrow).
Among the changes: better Battlefield 3 performance for 5000 and 6000 series users (single GPU and Crossfire), 5x1 Eyefinity support, and unrelated improvements to the Vision Engine Control Center (formerly known as the Catalyst Control Center).
Hit the source to download and install, and keep an eye on your EA e-mail, as we're hearing the first early access beta codes are coming in. Also note the 11.9 driver will release Wednesday.
