Eidos and SqEnix have set up a simple little blog where interested parties can check for the latest tidbits on the upcoming Deus Ex: Human Revolution DLC, The Missing Link. Folks can ask their questions, and Eidos' response pops up in the feed for all to see.
Some of the more recent information concerns the play time of Missing Link and its relation to the core Deus Ex game. Developers have estimated that the DLC should take roughly five hours to completely, but again, that depends on your play style. And if that approximation is any indication, you'll need to clear some space out on your hard drive for this thing.
What's also interesting to know is that Missing Link stands separate from the core game, at least when we're talking gameplay. None of the augmentations and other DLC-only content will crossover once you've finished.
"The Missing Link will not appear in the main game narrative, and your augmentation set in The Missing Link will not carry over to the main game after you’ve completed it. While gameplay-wise The Missing Link is not tied back into the main game, narratively you will find out things that will shed some much needed light on some of the… shadier sections of the Human Revolution world."
The Missing Link will be released to consoles and PC some time in October.
