Man, I was watching gameplay, and I WILL NOT BUY THIS GAME if the characters don't shut the hell up. Every time she would kill a zombie she would be like "THIS NEVER STOPS, DERP!". Besides that, this game looks sweet.

EvilTediz597 Inaccurate. Much more like Borderlands than L4D2, if you must make a comparison. So says Deep Silver.

I understand it will have the whole RPG elements like Borderlands, but it's still 4 survivors pitted against super-speed zombies. Nothing against Borderlands or Left4Dead, it's just a tad tiring with the ongoing over saturation of undead shooters without bringing anything new to the table.

It just sounds to me like Left4Dead with a little Dead Ris-I mean Borderlands injected into it. I hope that doesn't put a damper on it though, see what it's like when it comes out (At least the characters and setting bring something different to the table).

EvilTediz597 I understand where you're coming from, and it's definitely easy to dismiss the game just by looking at it. Here are a couple interviews we did with Deep Silver, though, and you may find them enlightening.

Note there are no time constraints, and after seeing much of the game -- and playing it at E3 -- I can honestly say it has little in common with Dead Rising.

As for Left 4 Dead, you actually have no AI allies to back you up when playing solo. That, combined with the shortage of firearms and the different kinds of zombies they've included, point to a greater emphasis on horror, which Deep Silver has mentioned before. It may still be a shooter to some degree, but that's not the point of the game -- like Mirror's Edge.

Not all zombies will run, and certain zombies can wield weapons or use special abilities. How you kill them is also a large part of the experience. Sure, you can shoot them in the head for a sure kill, but the game also utilizes an in-depth dismemberment system. If you cut off a zombie's legs, for instance, it'll crawl at you on its hands. Remove its hands, and it will try to gnaw your face off.

Quests also put more attention on the entire situation on Banoi. You won't find as much story-changing content here like in Fallout and similar RPGs, but they still tell a story, though I can't comment on how good that story will be until I've reviewed it fully.

Of course, don't go blowing your money if you're not sure about the game. Keep an open mind though! I've got high hopes that this WILL be something different.

...How did you know I was playing Mirror's Edge.......

I'm not dismissive of the game, I do have some interest, but I want to see what makes it different from the others. The game's getting a bit of hype, but I'm waiting to see what makes it stand out. Then again, you can't go wrong with a survival-zombie killer.

As for the Dead Rising comment, well, there's already a zombie-killer with RPG elements.

Thanks for the info, though.

EvilTediz597 No problem. I hope it lives up to the hype as well.
