The Guild Wars 2 demo at gamescom this week is probably one of the more notable goings-on, at least on the PC side of things. ArenaNet recently went over a number of gameplay features and changes players could expect in the demo, from the redesigned combat system to character creation. Of course, ArenaNet and NCsoft also have a new trailer, which is about as gorgeous as you might expect. Oh, and new screenshots -- so many new screenshots.
The trailer combines that painterly artwork Guild Wars fans have come to know and love with in-game footage of Tyria's new heroes, the ever-changing landscape, and behemoth boss creatures. The screenshots, which you'll find below the video, cover an even wider range of content.
In the gallery, you can check out images of Tequatl the Sunless (the angry undead beast), the Black Citadel, Lion's Arch, Wetland Glade, underwater shots, dungeons, and PvP.
Still no word on when Guild Wars 2 will be out, but we're fairly certain this is going to be one of the most beautiful MMOs we have ever seen. To watch the trailer in 1080p, check it out here.
