Inversion screenshots further explore gravity-defying gameplay

Shooting aliens seems pretty straightforward by now.  Or, you know, zombies.  In Inversion, Namco adds a twist to the gameplay by throwing gravity into the mix.  Using alien technology, players can control aspects of gravity to throw around enemies and make them vulnerable.  Gravity powers probably help with jumping too.

So the story here is an unknown enemy called "Lutadore" have invaded, and these two guys -- cops -- find themselves starting an impromptu resistance in the process of searching for one man's daughter.  We thought maybe the Lutadore were aliens, but they actually look pretty human in these screenshots.  About the only thing setting them apart from the protagonists are skin tone and size.

Inversion will be released on February 7, 2012 in North America.
