At launch, Brink was besieged by a myriad of gameplay issues, ranging in severity. As such, the Brink community was promised free DLC as a reward from Splash Damage and Bethesda for sticking with the game despite its problems.
Said downloadable content, titled "Agents of Change," was originally set for a June release, before it was delayed until July. Looks like that was also inaccurate, as the DLC wound up delayed again. Today, Bethesda announced that the DLC really is coming out, and fans can expect to get their free goods on August 3.
We think they actually mean it this time, because along with the date comes new screenshots showcasing the two new maps included in "Agents of Change." Come August, players will be taking the fight to the futuristic underwater Labs facility and the iconic Founders' Tower. In addition to the new districts, "Agents of Change" also raises the game's level cap to 24 and throws in new outfits and weapon attachments.
As previously mentioned, the new content will only be free the first two weeks following release. If you miss the deadline, then be prepared to pay up.
