Come September, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 owners can play HD updates of Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil CODE: Veronica X and witness firsthand the effects of Las Plagas and the T-Veronica virus. They're the same Resident Evil games fans know, only now sporting a nice shiny coat of hi-def paint.
If you're not familiar with either, we'll fill you in. In CODE: Veronica X, Claire Redfield is searching for her brother Chris but ends up getting captured not once but twice, each time dealing with a virus outbreak that horribly mutates its victim. Chris later pops up in the second half of CODE: Veronica X to save Claire and deal with the second outbreak.
Leon Kennedy takes a trip to a Spanish village in Resident Evil 4 to rescue Ashley Graham from the Los Illuminados cultist group. The odds are against Leon here as Los Illuminados have unleashed a mind-controlling parasite on the villagers. This also includes the "Separate Ways" epilogue from the PlayStation 2 version.
Both Resident Evil 4 and CODE: Veronica X will be available from Xbox LIVE and PlayStation Network for 1600 Microsoft Points or $19.99 each. Resident Evil 4 releases September 20 then CODE: Veronica X rolls out on September 27.
