A grassroots campaign called Operation Rainfall is petitioning Nintendo to publish Wii RPGs Xenoblade, The Last Story, and Pandora's Tower for North America. After Rainfall's initial attempt was met with no success, its efforts have shifted to a mail-in campaign spread across the month of July.
Rainfall's first attempt stemmed from the three RPGs being confirmed for release in Europe by Nintendo, which means they are being translated in English and a few other languages. Nintendo fans put down pre-orders on Amazon and posted on Nintendo's Facebook to show there was demand but Nintendo announced there were no plans at this time to have the games brought over to North America.
Disappointed but undeterred, Operation Rainfall has now moved on to a mail campaign to once again convince Nintendo to release the RPGs in North America. Polite letters and small trinkets like plastic cocktail swords will be sent in the hopes that Nintendo changes its mind. You can find an image of the mailing schedule in the gallery.
Even if Nintendo refuses to budge, there's always the chance that another publisher notices the outstanding demand and offers to bring these games over.
