Previous reports indicated the PC version of FIFA 12 would not feature the impressive sounding Player Impact Engine, continuing with EA's tradition of not investing properly in sports titles for the platform due to lack of sales.
Well, something's changed: the company has decided to go ahead with the development of the engine on PC after all, so fans can rest easy. You won't have to worry about any other missing features either: parity is noted.
The goal with the Player Impact Engine is to add realism to behavior and action, so when colliding or fighting for the ball, for example, it should be about as close as possible to the real thing.
FIFA 12 launches September 27 in North America and September 30 worldwide on all platforms (really: all platforms, even PlayStation 2).
