Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary will feature Kinect support
Kinect features completely optional, won't affect core gameplay
Microsoft announced two more additions to the long-standing Halo franchise at their E3 keynote, including the remastered Halo: Combat Evolved, dubbed Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary. Recently, Microsoft Game Studios' Phil Spencer revealed during an interview with GameSpot that -- surprise, surprise -- the Anniversary re-release will feature Kinect motion-control support.
"As a first party, we believe that Kinect will be important to all genres of games, be it racing games with Forza, combat games like Ryse," Spencer said. "Even games like Halo Anniversary has Kinect integration."
Now before you all freak out, 343 has already stated via the Halo Waypoint forums that all Kinect functionality will be optional.
After some inquiries from the community, forum admin "bs angel" replied, "Just to let everybody know, the Kinect features we're exploring with Halo: Anniversary are optional and won't affect your core gameplay experience. Our mission, from day one, has been to deliver a faithful recreation of the original game, and we remain dedicated to seeing that through to completion."
Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary is currently scheduled for November 2011.

You could have gotten rid of your Xbox anyway, though. Halo: CE (and Halo 2) is playable on the 360.
Either way I look forward to this but I don't like the sound of the Kinect functionality because that usually means my wife will try it out and Halo is supposed to be just for ME! and the occasional friends... Also, I don't want any added options to be diluted by the fact that they added Kinect enabled uselessness. Unless of course those blow my mind!
Either way,I won't use it...Although that's because I don't have a kinect,and I still can't be convinced to buy one.
