Awhile back, we introduced you to X-Men Destiny's Aimi Yoshida and Grant Alexander, two of the three characters you'll be able to play for the duration of the game. From the screenshots previously provided, you could more or less guess what sort of mutant powers they have but the real truth of the matter is you get to decide the skills they learn.
Each of the three characters specializes in a particular fighting style: Aimi is an agile Rogue, Grant serves as a hard-hitting Brawler, and Adrian (the fellow in the white shirt wearing a backpack) opts for Range attacks. From there, it's up to the player to decide what offensive and defensive X-Genes their character learns to suit their style of play. Also, each character handles X-Genes differently and will further develop their powers by constantly using X-Gene skills.
Once you've settled in with a character, it's time to pick a side. The Brotherhood of Mutants are clashing with the X-Men and, depending who you side with, you may fight beside Wolverine, Nightcrawler, and Cyclops or Juggernaut, Mystique, and Pyro. They're just some of the few familiar faces you'll see when brawling around San Francisco.
X-Men: Destiny releases this September for Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, and DS.
