Nintendo's E3 keynote was filled to the brim with games and information about the upcoming Wii U console that's set to debut in 2012. The following trailers should give you a good idea of what to expect for the DS, 3DS, Wii, and Wii U.
Wii U's controller sports a six-inch touchscreen that's capable of some multimedia features such as drawing and internet browsing. Nintendo presented this footage showing how the controller could be used with various games.
Various third-party developers are signed on to make games for the Wii U and the line-up is impressive. Nintendo fans will be able to play highly anticipated games like Batman: Arkham City, Assassin's Creed: Revelations, and Ninja Gaiden 3: Razer's Edge.
Nintendo highlighted The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword as the only major Wii game during the keynote. This Link has taken residence at a city floating in the clouds and befriended some high-flying birds.
DS games were a no-show at the keynote but that doesn't mean they're completely gone. Professor Layton and the Last Specter is confirmed to make its way stateside, presenting an adventure taking place before The Curious Village. It isn't known if Level-5 will keep the unlockable London Life RPG that's included with Specter for the U.S.
Plenty of Mario games are on the way for the 3DS. Super Mario features a mix of 2D and 3D platforming while bringing back familiar elements like airship stages and the Tanooki Suit.
Paper Mario was mysteriously absent from the keynote. There's some decent platforming action complimenting the turn-based battles and Mario is equipped with a bizarre assortment of skills. Also seen is a new Toad partner tagging along.
Luigi's Mansion 2 sends the other Mario brother into a new haunted house to dispose of crazy ghosts. Professor E. Gadd and his Poltergust contraption help out Luigi once more.
Chris Redfield has gone missing and it's up to Jill Valentine to seek him out in Resident Evil: Revelations. Jill's search takes her to a ravaged barge in the middle of a storm that's occupied by all sorts of mutants. A short demo of Revelations is included with copies of Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D.
Several other third-party games are on the way to be released in 2011 for the 3DS. Some titles like Ace Combat 3D and Tekken are scheduled to debut in 2012.
