Crysis 2 1.8 PC patch brings advanced graphics options

Disappointed no more
Update: the patch is now live; grab it through the built-in updater now. Steam users may have to wait until tomorrow.
Coming from the original Crysis and its long list of graphics options, many fans were naturally angry or just plain confused as to why Crysis 2 on PC includes pretty much just one all-encompassing setting. Perhaps in response to the popularity of fan-made config tools exposing the game's finer features, the next patch will include these options.
Besides that there's SSAO optimization, improved votekicking, various fixes, balance improvements, and more. Hit the source for the full details, if you like.
Seems the patch cycle should slow down after this one; now the only major item left should be DirectX 11 support.
The patch is "not too far away" -- we'll let you know when it's live. Console players can expect their own version of the patch shortly as well.
