For Xbox LIVE subscribers who still haven't tried Halo: Reach, you're in luck. A demo for Reach is available as of today, though only for Gold users. The download takes up 1.74 GB of HDD space, and offers playable portions from campaign, Firefight, and multiplayer.
The campaign section covers the "Long Night of Solace" mission, in which Noble Team fights their way to a launch station guarded by Covenant forces. Co-op is supported, whether online or splitscreen. Beyond the campaign, demo players can try the Overlook map for Firefight, plus the "Free For All Slayer" and "Headhunter" multiplayer modes on Powerhouse. You'll only be able to play the multiplayer online with other demo players, however.
As previously mentioned, the demo is only available for Gold subscribers, though exclusives tend to remain so for only a short period of time. If you're a Silver account holder, be sure to check back next week. If you happen to like what you play, Halo: Reach is also on sale via Games of Demand. You have until May 30 to pick up the full game for just $40 -- a $20 discount.
