Thanks to Dead Island, we may never trust another remote island paradise ever again. The latest teaser from Techland and Deep Silver compiles a bit of in-game footage to show off areas around Banoi, and a montage towards the end reminds that all those zombies used to be fun-loving people in bikinis and swim trunks.
It definitely doesn't pack the same emotional punch as the debut trailer, but hey, at least we get a better idea of what the environments are like. Developer Techland has stated before that while the game uses a first-person perspective, it isn't actually a shooter, instead emphasizing a more intimidate, melee-oriented combat system. Because where the heck would you find endless supplies of guns and ammo at a resort hotel?
Below the trailer you'll find a handful of new screenshots as well, offering a closer look at the various undead types running around Banoi. There's some freaky-looking guy that looks like Army of Two gone horribly wrong and some mutated zombies to contend with. Oh look, other survivors!
Dead Island will be out in September 2011.
