The independent scene is stronger than ever these days, and the just-released Capsized appears another strong addition.
A 2D platform shooter from Alientrap Games, it seems to borrow a bit from classic titles like Metroid in its mechanics and appeal while splicing it with some pretty striking art direction. Besides the campaign, you get local co-op and Deathmatch modes, plus Survival, Time Trials, and "Armless."
The game is available through Steam, and word is a demo is on the way -- if you're not sold on the early discount (nine bucks versus 10), we'll keep you in the loop when it hits. We're working on a review copy, as well.
Update: demo is now available, and our review is in progress.
